Re: Divided Line and its picture of knowledge and belief

October 24th, 2011, 4:41 pm

Could it be, can it be possible, that it is YOU who cannot understand and, rather than expend the thought calories you ad-hom me? Could it be possible? I repeat what I repeat because it is true. A Universal Truth is just that, applicable all over the Universe! Whether YOU can understand it or not. T...

Re: Intriguing Questions?

(quote not shown) In nature, living things evolve through changes in their DNA. In an animal like a chicken, DNA from a male sperm cell and a female ovum meet and combine to form a zygote -- the first cell of a new baby chicken. This first cell divides innumerable times to form all of the cells of t...

Re: Is it possible to say a person’s opinion is not true?

October 21st, 2011, 2:54 am

(quote not shown) I know exactly what you are talking about! Very good! First, Truth is ALL INCLUSIVE!!! Everything is True! Every unique Perspective is both entirely 'correct'/true, and also quite limited by the natural limitations of Perspectives (us). Thus; "The complete Universe (Reality/Tr...

Re: Who determines linguistic meaning?

October 21st, 2011, 2:07 am

(quote not shown) Hi, Remster. I'll be happy to offer a Perspective on your question. Rather than simply focusing on 'linguistic' meaning, I'll expand the answer to include all 'meaning'! All 'meaning' exists as 'thought'! In a Zen (thoughtless) state of awareness, there is no 'meaning' to perceive,...

Re: Is it Possible for a Human Being to Function Without a S

(quote not shown) A 'Soul' is a (Conscious) Perspective of that which Is!. All that exists is perceived. All that is perceived exists. There can be no existence without the 'Soul'/Perspective to perceive it! "Consciousness is the ground of all being!" - Copenhagen interpretation of quantum...

Re: Religion vs. Philosophy

October 19th, 2011, 9:25 pm

Philosophy = 'critical thoughts'
Religion = 'belief thoughts'.

Both are valid ways of knowing, they simply cannot play well together in the sandbox in that they are diametrical opposites! The more of one, the less of the other! And vice versa!

(quote not shown) It seems to me that your suggested 'elimination' (and hate) is less 'civilized' then those you would 'eliminate' (murder!)!! Maybe we should 'eliminate' you?! You are obviously 'uncivilized', as demonstrated by your willingness to kill others! You have no 'basic rights' to defend! ...
