Re: Does God Exist?

December 13th, 2011, 8:02 pm

I detect a hint of malice here and while that is commonly tpical of a thiest, it does not give any merit to the theist's useless god. A poper understanding of the evidence will affirm one position while annihilating the other but since it's the point of both parties than nobody has the intellect to ...

My structure of a false scenario (tornado of fire) comes from the scriptures; but I wasn't there so I can't substantiate it; but it's interesting that you don't refute the release of the Israelites from Egyptian bondage. How is it that we can substantiate that (if we can)? It's also interesting that...

Re: Does God Exist?

First of all people, try not to attack each other over personal opinion, because that's all that any of us really have. A tornado made of fire would certainly prove the existance of God in my opinion; but I'm sure that an athiest would try diligently to explain it away with some form of irrational l...

Re: Does God Exist?

December 3rd, 2011, 7:20 pm

I forsee this concluding much like the last debate. If I believe in something that I can't substantiate, then how could I convince someone that doesn't believe? My perceptions and interpretations of any recorded literature is not going to be exactly the same as yours and any evidence can be accepted...

Re: The Bible and Politics in ancient times

Does this conclusion mean to say, that you concur with my original opinion, that your whole topic of discussion is a dead end?

I think that you're missing the whole point behind the story of the widow and her offerring. If you read the story the congregation was offerring their legally obligated 10% and Jesus was pointing out that the woman's faith was so great, that she put in meagre $1.50(not 15 cents), when it was all th...

In taking the bible to be a deadly source of counsel, there remains no question that you could ask of God. The downfall of it, is the human conception of it; and if only a select few (throughout the history of humanity) find the appropriate road and gate, how many of them do you suppose are in the w...

Allow me to play with some words. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; and whosoever shall open it unto me, I will come in and sup with them and they with me. The problem with this is, that while you've greeted me and bid me come in, you have this mountainous idol in the door way. The love of mone...

Re: The Bible and Politics in ancient times

If it cannot be substantiated beyond a reasonable doubt, then how can anyone claim that it's true? Once you remove the paganism of christianity, GOD will show himself An example, A man confined me, and just before God destroyed his fortress, he made the wise decision to release me; and his fortress ...

Re: The Bible and Politics in ancient times

An intriguing debate, inane as it is. In the whole topic of the biblical relation to politics, it's essential to fully understand the bible and while some of the biblical references are accurate, others are out in left field. From my perspective, I conclude that the religious perception of scripture...

Re: Why doesn't god prove himself?

September 11th, 2011, 6:46 pm

Personally, I see evidence of God almost everyday and while my understanding and perception of God varies from any other on Earth, I've yet to see evidence validating any other perception. Most people's understanding of God cannot be established by any written book and any book that anyone could off...

Re: Religious Contradiction: Contradiction or Unbelievable.

Re; Post #1 Right out of the gate your theology isn't sound. The tree that you referrred to wasn't the tree of knowledge, it was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This is a vgery important fact because the scriptures in reference there were by no means talking about trees or fruit. With re...

Re: If God Exists is he a Physical Entity?

September 7th, 2011, 11:12 am

It seems to me that you talk in circles. The question is, "IF" god exists, is he physical? First it should be prudent to establish the existance (notice no gender) While your perception of a god has a masculine form, you are placing a physical entity on something that you don't even know e...

Re: Existence is an obligation?

September 6th, 2011, 2:31 am

The whole concept of an obligatory existance seems unjustifiable to me. When one considers all of the starving, hurting, homeless, abused and forgotten people that exist now, having an obligation to reproduce makes very little sense to me. I look at procreation as a natural occurence and while I mad...

Re: If God Exists is he a Physical Entity?

September 6th, 2011, 1:55 am

Something gets lost in your debate. In the concept of perception justifying existance, does that include cognitive perception or are you limiting yourself to visual perception? We cannot see most gases and yet just because I don't see it, that certainly doesn't suggest that there is any truth in the...
