Re: Is it moral to vote in federal elections?

September 11th, 2012, 8:54 pm

(quote not shown) You make decent points, but let me clarify communism. there dozens of different varieties of what we call 'communism.' My version would be similar to the other ones but with some differences. So for example you can't say 'communism' doesn't work because it didn't work in the USSR. ...

Re: Is it moral to vote in federal elections?

September 7th, 2012, 12:59 pm

(quote not shown) It will come into effect if it has support. There are 3 types of people who are currently blocking this system from coming into effect: 1. people who have an interest in the current system (politicians, elite capitalists, kings, etc...) 2. people who are manipulated and brainwashed...

Re: Moral and Sexual restrictions

August 31st, 2012, 1:32 pm

There were no effective forms of contraception before, therefore sex had to be restricted in order for society to operate in an organized manner. There was no DNA testing available. If everybody went around and had sex there would be many bastard children and nobody would be able to take care of the...

Re: Are Humans warlike and condemned to endless War?

August 31st, 2012, 1:14 pm

Humans have always operated based on self-preservation. Therefore, if there were not enough resources, they would go to war. However, currently we have enough resources and technology to feed the world 10 times over, yet we are still going to war. The current reason for war is greed. Greed is an art...

Is it moral to vote in federal elections?

August 31st, 2012, 1:03 pm

I would challenge anybody to provide a counter argument to this. I think it is highly immoral to vote in any federal election anywhere in the world. This is simply because we have the current technology for the next system in global politics to come into practice (global communism) and it will get r...

Re: James Holmes: A Reason?

August 14th, 2012, 11:01 pm

He was doing neuroscience then realized that no matter how smart he is or what he studies, he cannot beat the system that he hates, and would have to live in it for the rest of his life. This truth killed his motivation to study, and he was left angry and hopeless. This mixed with the lack of one of...

Would we be motivated to live if we knew the point of life?

September 10th, 2011, 2:51 pm

The lack of answer for this question creates confusion and challenge which makes us motivated to live. Even those that think they know the point of life have some kind of motivation. For example, religious people believe the point of life is to abide by the rules of their religion, but they are moti...

Re: Mercy as a concept is flawed

September 10th, 2011, 1:20 pm

Mercy is indeed illogical. When the need for mercy arises, it is an indicator that the rules of the environment are illogical, baseless, and random. There should be no need for mercy.

Re: Why are people so deluded by happiness?

September 9th, 2011, 10:58 pm

'Happiness' in this society means 'not being unhappy.' In a dog eat dog system, people act based on fear (due to lack of protection due to barbaric nature of the system). Therefore, this results in everybody being desperate for seeking 'happiness' so they don't get left behind.

Re: Capitalism is a brutal dictatorship

September 9th, 2011, 10:41 pm

(quote not shown) Morality has nothing to do with capitalism or communism. Equality is unnatural inhuman and impossible in any aspect within empirical world or society. Whatever you do not want to be done unto you do not expect to be done unto others =Morality. Liberation leads to capitalism and all...

Capitalism is a brutal dictatorship

September 6th, 2011, 8:41 pm

It is very simple. When there is 'freedom' and capitalism, one 'image' is dictated and everybody tries their best to be it. They even get surgery to get closer to that image. How is that freedom? That is the most brutal dictatorship. In Communism everybody is equal. Would you rather be told what to ...

Re: Why do bad things happen to good people?

September 6th, 2011, 7:43 pm

(quote not shown) I've always considered such times to be opportunities for me to test myself and views. I would not be the person I am today if not for the bad (as well as the good) things that have happened to me. There is a difference between bad and horrible. I like it when bad things occasional...

Re: A New Apprach to Defining Good and Evil

September 6th, 2011, 7:28 pm

good: Any move that strives towards a society that provides justice/equality. If said society already formed, then good means safeguarding it or improving it.
evil: lack of the above

It is as simple as that.

Re: Are anger, discompassion and hatred symptoms of weakness

September 6th, 2011, 7:23 pm

Anger is simply a defense mechanism to help humans when they feel injustice has been done to them. The more angry a person is, the more injustice has been committed against them (factors such as genes also make a difference). It has nothing to do with being a weakness. If anything, compassion is act...

August 21st, 2011, 11:12 am

(quote not shown) An absolutely brilliant point. But just for kicks, why is saving a life considered moral in the first place? Why is it my concern that a strange child is drowning? Just a question, of course I would save the child. But I'd like to know why. Opinions/ defenses for altruism? Morality...
