Yes, outside of management, generalist knowledge is for independent (or at least small group) purposes whereas specialisation is something that tends to only be of use if part of a team with shared goals, eg. Ford and his successors don't didn't look for "all-rounders" for his assembly lines.Judaka wrote:I feel that a little bit of knowledge of a lot mostly benefits you while a lot of knowledge about one thing tends to benefit others although in some contexts you might be compensated for that.
