I tend to associate temperance with abstinence from alcohol. Perhaps not a bad virtue in itself given the harm that it does. Although, as Homer Simpson once said: "Alcohol! The cause of and solution to all of life's problems!". It does have its plus side.
But if we use a more general definition of temperance then, yes, it's certainly not a bad one. Moderation and restraint. What's not to like?
