For me life is so complex, and yet so simple.
You give, and take, continuously
yet expect nothing in return
altercations in your habits change your path
but for whom can you portray?
I have been told that Love is the key
but how do I find it if not in you...in me?
can you predict your outcome in life
do you see where your going
do you have the ability to change it

I am baptised, but at this point I don't really see it as a significant event. Since being dipped in a tub as a baby, I've become an atheist.

I have been baptised, but i do not believe that it holds any real significance in todays world. When you go for a job interview or to apply to a college or to get married, no one asks you whether or not you are baptised. unfortunately the role of religion in today's society has diminished, and society is dying. We only have to look at ourselves fifty years ago and look at ourselves now to realize the truth. but society is dying not due to the loss of religion so much as the loss of spirituality and the rise of sensualism.

I have not been baptized. I don't think it makes sense to baptize children, because they can't consent to it. A ceremony doesn't make a person good. The person's character makes them good. Children aren't old enough to make a pledge to be religious.

That's true. That's one of Catholic ideas I've never
subscribed to.

I have never been baptized. Thankfully, I wasn't and thankfully I was talked out of it (though, not because it was religious, but my mother didn't want me baptized at this particular church.)

I would probably dislike myself if I was baptized. If I had to look at it religiously, I would say there is ultimately no point in baptism except that it is a Christian ritual - a symbolic one at that with nothing important to offer except that one can have the sense they're going what is told by the Bible.

Unforutnately, I dislike seeing the rise of religion again in this country. It is a strong indication of the exiting of reason and intellectual thought and replacing it with nothing worth their mind's ability. The increase of religion is the signal of the declining...not the other way around.

But, anyway, that's my two cents.
When a man declares: "There are no blacks and whites [in morality]" he is making a psychological confession, and what he means is: "I am unwilling to be wholly good—and please don't regard me as wholly evil!" - Ayn Rand

Well religion can be in line with rational thought.
I've known many religious people who are great philosophers. They're not into Bible thumping religion, they're into finding out why they believe. Religion can be used to support certain choices;
it doesn't have to be a mindless organization.
