I believe that you are right, Darwin (above)

However there are intrinsic causes of depression . By " intrinsic" I mean that the depression cannot be attributed solely to any of the causes you listed. I think that any decent clinician would advocate lifestyle changes where appropriate.

You can't exclude any of the above causes until you have applied them and started practising a regimen of dietary restraint.

Certainly. However when a depressed person seeks help the case may be urgent. The depressed person may be suicidal, or too disabled to deal with their lives, including making lifestyle changes which is not always easy to do even for people who are not depressed.

Using words like "intrinsic"' only adds to the confusion and gives more power to doctors, psychiatrist and psychologists. I have shown that medicine is corrupt and that they have hidden natural cures from the public and have the audacity to demonize iodine which is really the only element that can cure any disease or immune problem.

Yes, and if only it were possible to move to healthy lifestyles for all from the actual status quo. But it is isn't possible .This is not to deny that lifestyle changes may sort most mental illness, although it omits to solve the problems of inherited mental abnormalities.

The social problem about curing mental illness by lifestyle changes is the enormity and urgency of the problem. I mean, for instance, prisons contain many people who should be getting help for mental illness causing anti-social behaviour; this is because facilities are inadequate for treating many besides those affluent persons who can take time off work and pay for expensive treatments and carers. I also mean that by the time a sufferer from mental illness is diagnosed her case may be so urgent that there is insufficient time for lifestyle change to take effect before she kills herself.

The problem is, that most psychologists are not trained to recognize the true causes of mental illness, which, in most cases, is purely a dietary imbalance. The average prison diet does little to address this problem. Psychologists need to earn a living so they have to play along with the 'I don't know game' and pretend that the problem is a social one.

Note - Most so called genetic mental illnesses are caused by the mother not getting sufficient iodine during pregnancy which causes the brain to be semi-formed and thus results in retarded or socially awkward children who never fit in to society. Thus, until these blinkered psychology professionals recognize the importance of iodine, then, there will be a never ending supply of socially unacceptable people. I believe that they know this, and that they deliberately ignore iodine so that they can make plenty of money out of retarded individuals. Thus, the whole medical system is in denial about iodine because it is a threat to their huge incomes. Iodine awareness could close down 90% of all hospitals and put 90% of all doctors out of work which would be an undesirable outcome for them. Thus, the silence about iodine and the potential threat of iodine must be keep a closely guarded secret from the public.

How many millions of people are in on the secret, do you think, and how come there's not a single Snowden amongst them to blow the whistle. Even in the realm of absurd conspiracy theories this one ranks in a class of its own. My wife and son are both medical professionals and I've socialised with members of the medical profession all my life. I could name dozens of them who would willingly spill the beans if Rupert Murdoch showed up with his chequebook.

Correct. There's not a single Snowden amongst them, but there is one Dr David Brownstein who has blown the whistle and a few others too, if you look around. You only had to go back one page on this post and you would have found plenty of references. Its not everyone who would be willing to end their medical career in order to to save a few lives. The system brainwashes doctors right from the start. Any trainee doctor who shows signs of doubt about the system would be failed at the medical examinations. Heretics are kept out of medicine. Only over educated and conservative morons can progress and become doctors.

I will repeat the video which is on the previous page.

Note - Rupert Murdoch is just a system game player so he would be unlikely to blow the whistle on the medical system especially since they pay big money for the press to keep quiet on medical issues.

DarwinX,

I have read that the potassium/salt imbalance is what causes high blood pressure. Does this come into play with your thoughts on iodine/selenium balance? Could you elaborate on how you avoid halogens?

You can avoid bad halogens by avoiding products such as, pesticides, herbicides, fire retardants, plastics, air conditioning gases, treated water, toothpaste with fluoride, dental flossing chemicals.

You can increase your iodine intake by eating seafood, seaweed, fruit, vegetables, onions and garlic.

Thank you, DarwinX. Please comment on my question about potassium/salt.

How can one avoid treated water, air condition gases, if one lives in modern society? Do all air conditions expel gases? What is your source of water?

High blood pressure is the result of a combination of sugar, dairy and salt overdosage. Just reduce your consumption of these products and your blood pressure should decrease.

You can buy bottled water and open a window or use a fan instead of using air conditioning.
