Tesseracting as instantaneous travel
The First dimension is a line and only goes in two directions.
The Second dimension is the square of the first, making it a square.
The Third dimension is the square of the second, making it a cube.
The Fourth dimension is the square of the third, but it is currently mathematically impossible to draw it. Madeline L'Engle described this dimension as "time."
The Fifth dimension is the square of the fourth, and it is also impossible to draw, but it is very important to this discussion.
Tesseracting is instantaneous travel through the fifth dimension from one place to another. Think of it this way: A straight line is the shortest distance from one place to another. Wrong! The shortest distance is just like crossing a portal so that you step where you were before to where you want to be without crossing the intended distance. It's hopping across space and time to reach a destination quickly.
Is this possible?
