Importance of systematizability
So, here it is:
1) Is systematizability/generalizability a need to knowledge of the truth (or verisimilitude, at least)?
2) If it is not, how can we avoid drowning in the sea of heuristics?
3) If it is, why and in what manner?
I know the terms of the question might seem a bit ambiguous (we might need to define systematizability -what a fancy word, by the way-, truth and/or verisimilitude, etc.) and general (as the question goes right to the central issue of epistemology -the validity of knowledge-), but I myself am not sure about what its correct formulation is (I hope I am not the only one who suffers from this from time to time).
In case it helps, the doubt occurred to me reading some criticism to Jungian archetypes from the perspective that, since the are formulated in such a vaguely way, the cannot be delimited or studied with any rigor.
As a final comment, I hope this doesn't derive in a discussion on distinction of science from non-science (that is not my intention )
