Re: The Immorality of Collective Authority
Yes, I can easily point out a group in history that actually did something useful for the majority of the people. You asked too easy a question. ALL GROUPS are good to the majority of the people in the group.Synthesis wrote: Can you point out a group in history [that had significant power] that actually did anything useful for the majority of people?
I know this is the counter-point of the entire point you are trying to make. But to make your point, you must show that it is better to live outside of a group.
How do you know that? There is no historical document of people living outside of groups, and living well there.
I therefore turn the question over to you, in this form: Can you point any specific stretch of time in history over a significant area of land, when people lived and existed NOT in a group, a large number of people, and they were powerful and their arrangement was good for every member in that conglomeration of people (conglomeration, not a group, as per your definition).
Please answer that meaning- and truthfully, and we'll cease and desist the bringing down of your view.

Personally, I can do without the so-called good [when it comes to groups], HA! Can you do without language? without food? Without shelter and clothing? You'd perish in a year if not earlier, if you lived your life without the so-called good of the group. but the bad can not be ignored. It is the cause of nearly every difficulty man faces. Therefore, the first task would be in facing the truth of the matter by acknowledging the problems groups cause. This is never done YOU ARE WRONG, IT IS DONE ALL THE TIME, IN ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT FORUMS, AND I DON'T MEAN AT ALL ONLY INTERNET FORUMS. because it is the same dynamic which creates the tremendous wealth streams that comfort the elite. Do you believe these folks care if the rest has to put up with [fill in the blank]?
This is what I am saying, simply look at what is going on and then attempt to reel in the sociopaths.
As far as your question about people living in groups, etc., I would ask you NO, PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION BEFORE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK ME ANY MORE QUESTIONS why it is that the sheeple prefer all kinds of things that they do? BECAUSE THE POWER IN THE GROUP WANTS THE MONEY OF THE MASSES, AND THE EASIEST WAY TO GET IT FROM THE MASSES IS TO SELL THEM SOMETHING THEY WANT. I didn't sign up to be part of this asylum OKAY, YOU ARE SAYING YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE INTERNET-AIDED AUTOEROTICA, FAST FOOD, AND DELIVERY IN TWO DAYS, WHY DO YOU THINK IT HAS ANY RELEVANCE ON ANYTHING, BECAUSE THOSE ARE THREE EXAMPLES OF WHAT THE GROUP DOES FOR YOU, BUT THERE ARE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF OTHER THINGS THE GROUP DOES FOR YOU... YOU DO NOT WANT TO TAKE PART IN THREE OF THE THOUSANDS, SO DON'T, THE GROUP IS NOT FORCING YOU TO I am not sure about you!
