An adult has the responsibility to decline if a child is acting in a seductive way. It is ALWAYS the adult who is responsible.
I am amazed that you have to give an answer Misty are they academic questions or ignorance.

What do you mean by ok?

To me, the question about having sex with kids is not a right or wrong question, but it is a question whether or not is it legal, and it is a health question of whether or not it will spread unwanted STD?

Why do you ask: "Is it ok to have sex with cow or a sheep?" Why don't you ask: "Is it ok to have sex with your mum?"

I do not have a brother and I do not have a son right now and I am not married. But I want to express that it is not wrong to rape people or it is not wrong to have sex with kids.

Why?

Because as I said before, moral question has no right and no wrong, because an action is just an action; one action has no right and no wrong, so to me, there is no evil and no good.

But what I feel may be the question: Whether or not an action will produce happiness or misery? This is the question that may be important; whether or not an action will produce happiness or suffering? This kind of question is much more valuable than the question on whether or not it is right to kill or rape people.

Now, Buddha might ask this question before me, but Buddhists had too much rigid thinking or shallow dogmas, where Buddhists created too much moral rules, rather than questioning with no mind.

The problem with Buddhists is that they had the delusions thinking that they have worked out the way of happiness, which might not work at all, and so maybe this is why we should ask the question again: Is there a way to happiness?

Without relying on Buddhists.

I have some comments and concerns about this subject...I believe that for sure child molesters are wrong, but how does one relay clarity to a generation that is watching pornography of minors? The pornography industry as well as the media, portray young women as sexual objects. There is a "teen" genre in pornography. They are young and often "sexualized", such as the "Lolita syndrome" where companies create young starlets such as Brittany Spears, (who compared to other starlets today is tame.) I guess what I am looking for is a sound argument for predatory young males in the age range of 25-30 not to pursue young girls (between the ages of 14-18)for sex. How do you stop this behavior? Sexual relationships from the advent of the birth control pill have been transformed. However I know people who lust after young girls and are not even remotely sorry for it. To me this behavior is repulsive and upsetting. I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way, but how do you effectively stop this thought pattern? In Roman times pedophilia was actually fairly common to a nauseating degree, and even famed philosophers had young boys they played with. To me, this is profoundly disturbing. If you follow the line of thought that sex has no purpose other than recreation, it loses its meaning completely. If it is only purely for pleasure and the boundaries of what is right and wrong are consistently pushed back, how can we even argue against the molestation of children, not even pubescent children? I am worried about this, and am trying to figure a concise way of relaying an argument so I can convince others it isn't okay to sleep with minor girls. I feel at a loss, and it is bothering my conscience.

It is never, never okay to have sex with children.

For those of you who argue that Mother Nature is smart and that because the human body has begun the maturation process in the reproductive organs, you need to realize that she has not finished with the brain, which goes through its own developmental process. The brain's developmental process is still continuing in an adolescent even if the person appears to be fully mature.

For those of you who are worried about continuation of the species, we already have enough problems keeping the people who are already here alive as we live much longer today. There's lots of people on the planet already--too many in my opinion. We do not need to have sex with children in order to keep our species alive.

For those of you who think that younger women have healthier babies, that is not true when referring to women younger than 20 years old. Women younger than 20 do not have fully developed pelvic bones, for instance.

I do not care what country it takes place in...a grown person should have enough restraint to let children fully grow up physically and emotionally before stripping them down to their most vulnerable state and start playing with their body parts.

Children or prepubescent humans are not able to consent for sex in any way. I see alot of people calling what are known as "teens" "children." A teen is a pubescent human. I am surprised this conversation would be had even among the most open minded people... philosophers. It's like asking, "is it okay to slice children's throats?"

Well I happen to enjoy slicing little children's throats... Mental/spiritual disease.

Well, I started my period at nine years old. Does that make me pubescent. I got breasts at 11 years old. Does that make it okay for someone to touch them? NO. As a thirteen year old, I can say in all honesty I was not ready to get pregnant, carry a child or become a mother. I'm sure there are some very mature 13 year old girls out there who are ready for the life long commitment that sexual intercourse can bring into someone's life. However, I would think that this would be something society should try to protect. Which I think for the most part the law system does. However, a 17 year old is capable of making that choice, but really emotionally speaking, it can be too early, since the ramifications are often not evident, and one's identity isn't even formed. The human brain continues to grow until the age of 25. we live in a society that worships the human body and sex. What is the right way? What is the right argument for a young woman not to have sex, other than unwanted pregnancies or disease? Why is it socially acceptable for this to happen. Why is sex viewed as totally flippant, when it obviously isn't. If sex with multiple people were healthy you could say that porn stars should be the healthiest people in the world, this is obviously not the case.
