Should a good Christian overthrown God?

Discuss philosophical questions regarding theism (and atheism), and discuss religion as it relates to philosophy. This includes any philosophical discussions that happen to be about god, gods, or a 'higher power' or the belief of them. This also generally includes philosophical topics about organized or ritualistic mysticism or about organized, common or ritualistic beliefs in the existence of supernatural phenomenon.

Should a good Christian overthrown God?

Post by Above us only sky »

"We Will Follow You Only" (Chosŏn'gŭl: 우리는 당신밖에 모른다) is a North Korean hymn dedicated to the country's leader Kim Jong-un. The song was first released on the Korean Central Television in 2013, every North Korean has to sing it.

Here is the lyric:
He is the driving force behind our world
In his brace he holds the people's fate
His ideals are our dreams and hope
Which will make all our flowers bloom
We know nobody, but You, Great Comrade Kim Jong Un!
We wil be loyal to You, Great Comrade Kim Jong Un!
His brilliant ideals represent our goal
The Brilliant Commander's will, the people's victory
Along the only road he marked
Ten million advance like a storm
We know nobody, but You, Great Comrade Kim Jong Un!
We will be loyal to You, Great Comrade Kim Jong Un!
Even if heaven and earth change
You remain in our hearts
To the end in both life and death
We will uphold his leadership
We know nobody, but You, Great Comrade Kim Jong Un!
We will be loyal to You, Great Comrade Kim Jong Un!
To be honest, the North Korean music sounds like church music very much If you replace the word 'Kim Jong Un' with the word 'father'. Follow this logic, Is God the geatest dictator?

According to the Old Testment, he is, then a good Christian should overthrown him, any Christian who refuse to overthrown God is not a good Christian, if a Christian can not overthrown God, at least he should flee from God and refuse to obey him as many people in North Korea has done

Is there any Christian here that can defeat my arguement? 8) 8) 8)

Well, I agree with where your post started, that is: Un thinks he is a god or at least he wants to be treated as one. As to what god is, greater minds than yours or mine have yet to make much headway in that direction as far as proof/knowledge is concerned. But I see the parallel you are driving at. If there is a Modern Western god, then he would likely look at it from a godcentric perspective and disagree with your statement. The minions are free to do so, though. Do you?
"As usual... it depends."

I'm not a Christian but, if I were, I would probably realise you're just playing with words and would tend to ignore you.
