The Physical Presence of the God is the Earth

Discuss philosophical questions regarding theism (and atheism), and discuss religion as it relates to philosophy. This includes any philosophical discussions that happen to be about god, gods, or a 'higher power' or the belief of them. This also generally includes philosophical topics about organized or ritualistic mysticism or about organized, common or ritualistic beliefs in the existence of supernatural phenomenon.

Teru, this is just standard theism. It is neither a new idea, nor the truth, but just one speculation amongst dozens, and a lower probability one than many.

Whenever there is a discovery. Public first resent and reject. Then they say you are not the only one to discover it. Finally they say it was so easy that everyone knows it. I say, "Thomas Edison had a light bulb, I have a Conscious Earth." Lives are lives in different levels.

"All truths are easy to understand when they are discovered, the point is to discover them", he said. I have discovered the Conscious Earth and developed the scientific hypothesis "Lives in Different Levels". The physical presence of the God is the Earth. She is a supreme being.

Anyone with an unproven idea can claim they are being unfairly resented and rejected, that they are prophets treated without honour in their own time.

The idea of Earth as God is very common, be it Gaia or something else (and how your ideas differ from the Gaia hypothesis remains unclear). The Sun too, which is far more impressive than most people imagine.

So yes, I'm tremendously impressed by my planet too. What a rare and extraordinary gem! Thus, I like the Gaia hypothesis, but that does not make me a pioneer of to-be-proved science, nor does my approval make the idea true :) In my observation, humans are far more controlled by the planet than they realise, or even imagine. We think we are outside of "the system" when we appear to simply be the geobiosphere's current major agent of change. Other species have fulfilled that role in the past.

We can talk about gods in the Earth, or gods that encompass the Earth, or who created the Earth, or whatever. However, that approach gravely underestimates the complexity and power of our planet. To reduce a mighty planet to the status of a mere deity - the product of hominid brains? It's borderline insulting to the planet, which is so much more than any human conception, given that humanity and all of its works are but a tiny fraction of the Earth's expression over the past four and half billion years, and comparing Earth with gods says nothing of the potential of life (or post-life).

Why not make it the universe as a whole if god is so indispensible for some to make sense of it all?

Because we have Gaia hypothesis to back up with this

But I do not deny this possibility

No.
We have a very good term to describe the earth; E A R T H.
The problem comes here: how much we know about this E A R T H?

We cannot reach the core. No matter it is solid or liquids. It doesn't imply that the core is not functional at all.

I could say religions become heritages after James Loveslock. lol

It seems to be a dead end for the on-going discussions. Isn't it?

Any other thoughts?
