I'm afraid you're probably right, Leo. Knowing the right people often counts for more than it should. I don't suggest that we don't need to know what we claim to know but my life's experience has taught me that in most cases this is a secondary consideration. Learn how to make friends and influence people and you'll trump it nearly every time.
