Trump ran against political correctness. Now his team is begging for politeness.

I know this is an example of the truth of Godwin's law, that all internet discussions sooner or later result in people comparing each other to Nazis, but in this case it actually appears to be a valid comparison.
That's because there are two ways to look at Godwin's Law and one of them is that there are still a lot of Nazi's out there trotting out their poisonous attitudes and they need to be regularly reminded of the fact that we know they're there. Trump certainly ticks the box for fascist leader; regarding the checks and balances of the US constitution as the PC that stops him solving all the problems in one easy stroke. He's also clearly a racist. I'd say that was the two key determinants of Nazism.
If you think you know the answer you probably don't understand the question.

Another example of political correctness - NZ politicians attacking their local airline for serving veggie burgers rather than beef burgers. Apparently this causes offence ...

Funny.... "His description of NZ lamb and beef being GMO-free was a reference to the heme found in the Impossible Burger - an ingredient crafted from genetically modified yeast that gives the patty its 'meaty' taste and texture."

If they used yeast "grown" in NZ would it be acceptable? Interesting that Impossible Burgers never received FDA approval:

It's a mighty big beef industry in the US that needs propping up, and they are none too happy with having their product exposed as a contributor to bowel cancer. Tobacco companies worked hard on their misinformation campaigns so it's no surprise that the beef industry would adopt the same tactics. They are desperate to create the perception that their option is less unhealthy.

The weakness of the beef gives you bowel cancer argument is that virtually every food type gives you some cancer or another, or another slightly less pejorative way of looking at it, different food types skew your tendency to get one specific type of cancer or another. Fish e.g. helps your bowel, punishes your stomach. Thus while I can give up smoking I cannot give up eating.

You can't maintain a nation if you have no control of what/who comes in and out. It would be like a cell trying to survive without a functioning membrane.
I guess that along with Muslim, migratory birds should have passports too?

Nah, just seasonal work visas.... and we should document that they meet crop damaging bug ingestion quotas, and that their nests meet environmental building codes and do not have Islamic architectural features. Last thing we need is more birds nests that resemble mihrabs!

Trump is right about almost nothing.
He is an ignorant bigot who deserves little more than to be completely ignored - if only that were possible.
I sincerely hope that the USA will look back on this period in its history with utter horror and embarrassment.

He is the biggest threat to the future of democracy.

Not at all. That's akin to saying that eating both carrots and lard will make you fat. The research is both repeated and sound.

This does not mean not eating. Aside from the safe option of eating red meat as opposed to the unsafe option of overeating red meat, there are actually many millions of living people who do not eat meat but do still eat.

These people are known as "vegetarians". These extraordinary people do not eat meat yet they do eat food. This is because there are other food groups not derived from the carcasses of the once-suffering. These food groups are known as by common names such as "fruits", "vegetables", "grains" and "fungi". Remarkably, not eating carcasses results in a longer life rather than starvation!

Another way is to remember that a comparison or an analogy is not a declaration of complete equivalence.

When President Donald Trump uses the term “politically correct,” it's meant to be an insult — and not one many Americans would redirect at him.
