What will happen to this site with no administrators?

Chat about anything your heart desires here, just be civil. Factual or scientific questions about philosophy go here (e.g. "When was Socrates born?"), and so most homework help questions belong here. Note, posts in the off-topic section will not increase new members post counts. This includes the introductions and feedback sections.

The topics are the same, then they repeat themselves: God, free will, abortion, Big Bang, Solipsism or its opposite, gon control, determinism, and actual daily items from the news. I may have missed some other obvious ones. I sometimes find myself in a creative mood, sometimes don't. The site gets overly boring on the long run, and it's not little surprise, that mods stay away or become inactive after a while.
True. The differences become ever more minute.

Still, there are often pearls amongst the swine. I am planning to crack down on clichéd OPs before life starts swamping me later this year. It's up to people to search the topics rather than repeat new posts of the same subject matter.

One thing is for sure: this very thread I started was in aim of relieving Greta of too much work, and to shake up the people and let them know that the site is in danger of continuing in the fashion that it was mandated. Much like Greta.
Well, I am a new mod and I am trying to learn the ropes. I have already made a few mistakes - but I have learned something. I am sure I will not make any more mistakes – ever again – you believe me – right? I think this is a great site and I want to help make it succeed.

I hear your complaint -1- that much of the discussion is on similar topics and themes. I think this will always be true to a certain extent because these are the issues that perplex us most. I wonder if there is a way to introduce new themes and topics that will stimulate us all? I have a few ideas and I am sure “you all” do as well. What do you think is the best way to bring out some new ideas and topics? Perhaps we can have a contest for most interesting – challenging – perplexing – intriguing arguments. How about if we start a thread that asks for new concepts? We could do that in each individual forum; because many seem to hang out in one or another forum. I bet we would get a lot of good ones. How would we reward – entice people to post new arguments? Perhaps we could vote on ideas and name a “Philosopher King” of the month. What do you think?
