Successful philosopher nowadays

I was thinking about philosophy as a way of life full of thinking. Kind to say impractical way of living... And here comes the question - what do philosophers work? How you/they (depends from which point would like to think) are integrating into society?

Yes, it might be thoughtful people or people with degree of philosophy. No big matter. What they are working?

Just the idea that people tend to react: do not think so much, be more simpler...
Or even kind of discrimination: if you are thinking about something more deeply, you are kind of psychological disabled...

Depending on personality type, they're either baristas or car salesmen.
