"Every hurt is a lesson, every scar a reminder of where we have been. If you can't accept this, then the next time that you fall, stay down. Otherwise, look to the skies, and rise again, harder, stronger, and wiser for it. Practice forgiveness, but NEVER forget."
"While upon the path, one will eventually come to the step where the feeble bonds of language must be left behind in order to find yourself lost in something unspeakable."

Re: Personally written wisdom sayings
If "Words of Wisdom" (tm) were anything more than ego masturbation, and they could actually be willfully adopted by folks, the world would be a Utopia of Wisdom by now.
The entire egoic notion of 'Wisdom' presupposes 'free-will/choice' ability to enact the wisdom. Therein lies the error.
With no 'free-will/choice', as we can see from this thread, 'Words of Wisdom' (tm) are no more than egoic wankery, for ourselves, alone.
They look great in lists and fortune cookies, but they are sterile, unable to be utilized.
Heck, people cannot even exercise when the Dr recommends, or change their diet (in general), now we should alter our existence according to cool sounding bumperstickers?
We haven't yet...

I would say that art without passion is like sex without love.
For me, art without craft seems more akin to the first fumbling efforts in the back seats of cars. Naive art, which occasionally be wonderful - as can some cynical art and sex, for that matter. Trashiness in life has its place :)

I'd say "Craft without art is sex without love".
If my version is true, then I've been a crafty bugger all my life then.

What if you get knocked down or punched out? Are you allowed to quit then?
