Appending follow up posts by new members
After submission of the follow up reply, the system unexpectedly said my "edit" had been accepted (this was unexpected to me because it was a reply not an edit) and the topic immediately disappeared. Also, the original (approved) post has disappeared from my list of posts and my post count gone down. On reading other information about the operation of the forum, I guess this might have occurred because my follow up was automatically appended to the first. This means that not all the message has been approved by a moderator. However, having left it for a while, the second message hasn't appeared.
I'm wondering, therefore, if my messages are still awaiting moderation or have been lost due to the conflict of moderator status between the original and follow up parts of the message. I'm not worried if the posts have been lost, because I can easily submit a new topic (now with more informed wording).

"The mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master."
I believe spiritual freedom (a.k.a. self-discipline) manifests as bravery, confidence, grace, honesty, love, and inner peace.
