Most Philosophical?
I could post a multitude of completely inane responses to many topics and be the most philosophical member of this site? That seems rather absurd.
Just an observation of an apparently minimally-philosophical member of this site.

Re: Most Philosophical?
Of course, I'm not "most" anything", let alone most philosophical - just another old gal trying to make sense of things before she snuffs it. Dime a dozen. You get old, you tend to get more existential. What the list ultimately says is that some of us are going through intense questioning phases ATM and seeking to bounce ideas around with intelligent others with equivalent interests.

How often do you update the list? It is certainly unique.Scott wrote:I just meant it as a joke. It only refers to people who are active on this site listed most active to least active. I can make it more reflective of that. It should update automatically so I will have to look at that too.
I like the reading list trophies too.
I myself tend to read 3 particular philosophy books over and over one after another. Eventually I will find something new to read in addition.
My interests are mostly still about surveying all of philosophy throughout history, and then focusing on modern philosophy.
Roger Scruton in the UK is my primary source for modern.
Have you heard of him?

Sometimes I try joking around on this site too. It doesn't ever seem to go particularly well for me.Scott wrote:I just meant it as a joke.

Yes, there's always someone who'll be bothered by it. Poor things.Spiral Out wrote:Sometimes I try joking around on this site too. It doesn't ever seem to go particularly well for me.Scott wrote:I just meant it as a joke.
Not wanting to hustle, Scott, but an update might be about due ;)

I like it!Felix wrote:Easy solution: just change the words "most philosophical" to "most postosophical." This will have the added benefit of making the meaning of the thread title a topic of discussion... oh wait, it already is!
