Do new members get any kind of notice whether their posts will be accepted or not, or do the posts simply disappear into oblivion?
You can get a notification the moment it has been approved or rejected sent to your email box.
Then again, you may get nothing. I advise to save your post in your drafts before posting it, just in case. It may take as much as a few weeks before your post is assessed. Be patient. Moderators are volunteers.
