Better Way(s) Of Re-activating Registration

Some time ago (perhaps years?) I found I was unable to log-in, and found that although my Username was still on-record with PF, my current email address did not match that held by PF. At the time I found it all too frustrating and gave up. Once again the desire to be able to exchange thoughts with (possibly) receptive interlocuters has become a pressing need. This time I found the Feedback link - but was forced to create a new online identity to access it. So … to Scott, or whomever is appropriate, please:
i) Is it possible to update the email link associated with the username under which I last accessed the site? If not, please consider adding this facility … I rather like my old 'nom de plume'. It would be helpful if this could be done without having to register a 'new' username.
ii) Would you please consider placing a link to "Feedback, Support & Forum Announcements" (or just "Feedback & Support"), at the top of the PF page in a position that enhances its visibility.

You should be able to alter your email address in the User Control Panel.

You will need to be logged in to access the User Control Panel.

This can create a Catch 22 problem if you do not remember your password and do not have access to the current email address. Unfortunately, there is not too much that can be done in this case. There is no way to verify the owner of the account if one neither has the password nor access to the email account. I imagine this must be a problem across many websites.

I will add the link to the header to the this feedback forum.
