Re: Approval time for posts
Once I have over 20 approved posts will my posts no longer be held for moderation? If so could you possibly approve the posts I made last night under the "Lying as a necessity" and "Uncontacted tribes" topics, so I can participate in discussions on the site.
Also a philosophy question: can you explain the difference between ontology and epistemology ( in the simplest possible way)?

Re: Approval time for posts
Re: your question, ontology is about what actually exists in reality, eg. Kant's noumena. By contrast, epistemology is about how we can perceive and understand those things (or not), and so it concerns that which affects the accuracy of our perceptions, such as our sensory and cognitive limitations and biases. I hope this helps in lieu of more academic types perhaps pitching in on the question.
If there is no joy with the approvals situation in the next few days I will see if that infernal Pimpernel can be tracked down :)

The system works! I did not have to approve that post :)Maxcady10001 wrote:Than you, I couldn't get a clear understanding of ontology and epistemology from any definition I found.
