Donations

Post by whitetrshsoldier »

I'm already anticipating the response I'm gonna get from this one, but Scott, I can't find a donate function anywhere on the site.

Is there a way? Do you need donations? If not monetary, is there another way I/we can help?

I could take donations via PayPal. I do not like asking for donations and putting ads on the same web-page, so I only have the ads and I do not have a box asking for donations.

Anyway, if you want to help non-monetarily, here's a few ways:

-Keep posting. The more relevant content and the more different posters makes the forum more interesting and useful.
-Tell your friends and contacts about the forums. Helping me promote the forums will save me the money I would otherwise spend on advertising for the forums. You can put a link to the website on your website, facebook page, etc.
-Make suggestions on how to improve the forums.

Thanks a lot for offering to donate! I feel that it is quite a compliment to me and the forums. If you really want to donate, I can put a PayPal button on the bottom of the forums. Maybe I can make it so anyone who donates a certain amount will have no ads displayed to them (when they are logged in). What do you think?

Thanks!
Scott :D
My entire political philosophy summed up in one tweet.

"The mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master."

I believe spiritual freedom (a.k.a. self-discipline) manifests as bravery, confidence, grace, honesty, love, and inner peace.

Sounds fine to me - I don't really mind the ads, but obviously benefits for those who voluntarily donate may assist you in generating some additional revenue [though it may contradict with some of your personal politico-economic views].

I guess we could get creative with this. Either way, this forum has meant a lot to me lately, and I'd like to give back. Advertising is something I do daily, though the reason I come on here in the first place is because I haven't got anybody in my life who is interested in this stuff in the first place, so I feel I'm not helping much there! But I'll continue trying ...

Either way, I would like to help out. I can't promise that it would be a substantial amount, but who knows - every bit helps, right?
