I ask because I have extremely limited funds: 3 figures and I need to pay to go to school.
I want to support the forums, but should not for my own sake.
I guess ill just click often.

Any financial contributions are considered "charitable" and so are tax-deductible, and wanabe is right to say that, as far as I know, clicking on the links provides the only other revenue Scott can obtain to pay for the upkeep, advertisement, etc. needed to maintain the Forums.
Like he always says, up-to-date and relevant content is what keeps people coming. And when people come, they keep the site going. So as he would say, "Keep posting", and to wanabe's point, "Click Away"!

I may be over excited, but I believe in the New Age expectation of peace and technology resolving our problems, and the end of tyranny. I believe what is happening here is the process of transforming us to the New Age. I believe, those who post here are a very important part of the transformation, and that their contributions are very valuable.
I am also wondering how often and how much I should contribute to keep the forum healthy and alive.
Like Wanabe, my funds are very limited and there are many worthy causes needing funding, so I want to be careful with my distribution of discretionary money.
Also I would rather mail a check, than use Pay Pal. A friend's bank account was recently emptied and so far no one knows how this happened. I am thinking of going back to paying for everything either by cash or check. I want to decrease the electronic bank transfers that could empty my bank account, as much as possible.

Ads are just there in case you happen to see something that interests you.
Also, my website's are not an incorporated business, let alone a registered charity or non-profit. So I do not think donations would be considered tax-deductible in most places. But I am not an accountant.
I am glad everyone is so thankful for the forum. I thank you all for being here!
I realize not everyone can afford to donate, which is why there is no set amount to donate and no required fee or donation to use the forums. While every donation of any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated, I do not need anything to keep the website going.
More than donating, you can help keep this site going and make it better by continuing to come here, make posts and suggest ways to improve the forums.
(In a few days I will delete every reference to clicking on the ads as to not give anyone else the idea.)

You were also very gracious, Scott. Good manners are more important than good laws, because when people have good manners, they don't need laws and law enforcers and can have their liberty. You are good a leader, because you set a good example. I would not want to live in a society that would not democratically elect someone such as yourself. Well informed and gracious.

Perhaps others should take up more interests.
Do as you wish Scott.

Yeah, on occasion I have clicked on an ad because I was curious about where the advertiser is coming from.wanabe wrote:Well my interests do say: "EVERYTHING", it has since I got here. So its not click fraud for me.
Perhaps others should take up more interests.
For example, if we speak of sex, or a related subject, we get pictures of pretty women looking for husbands. I check them out because I have my doubts about how ethical some of these business actually are. It offends me that it is always pretty women looking for a mate and not a man.
Sometimes I interested in what is being sold, or I am curious about the company. There are many reasons to check out an ad.
