Two things to add.
A view that eliminates pages of a thread, just one long continuous page. Of course the longer threads would have to have a load warning on them. Reasoning: its irritating to flip from page to page at time you want to read something from thread 15 and compare if to thread 16(I believe 15 posts is the magic number anything over creates a new page)

There are threads with 100s of posts. I doubt it would be easier to read them without being separated. Maybe I could just extend the number of posts per page?

For a one size fits all solution I think 30 posts per page would be good.
