Get rid that message that warns about similar threads existing, or make it work better. Initially this post was going to just be for fixing/ modifying the search feature. I got that message(when in the subject of the thread I wrote "search within thread fix") and looked around for a similar post.

The search within post feature doesn't search the authors name unless it's in the content of posts. In general I think we should have more ways to find information, not worry about redundant features.

What's wrong with the search that warns a user that a topic may have a similar title? Do you just want it disabled in the off-topic sections such as this feedback forum?

When you say you couldn't find the topics with similar titles, I'm not sure I understand. These are shown as list with links are they not and the warning can be bypassed as long as there is not an exact match which there isn't.

Assuming everyone replying to a topic uses the same subject, they can be searched for using the desired settings in advanced search. You can also see a list of all a user's posts by clicking the appropriate link in their profile.

I will work on adding a link to the view-topic page that shows a list of posts by that user from that topic only. I expect to be able to do this within the day.

I have added this functionality. Below the post count in the post details box on the left-side of each post there is now a link to view all that user's posts from the current topic. Click "In topic". Incidentally, there also is now a direct link to view all that user's posts there too, by clicking "All," but such a link is also still present in the user's profile.
