Trying out the forum.

Post by Everday »

Hi!

My name is Everday, I am interested in conversing with others about philosophy and practicing my writing skills especially. English is not my native tongue, I am from Scandinavia but often read English.

Aside from the humanities, I am also interested in the social sciences and think that they can be helpful in understading philosophy among other things. I had particular interest in psychology for awhile and still like it.

I hope this is a nice and relaxed place to post at and that we'll be able to get along very well. : )

Welcome Everday,

Interesting avatar, what's the story behind it?

I hope you enjoy this PC, and your new perspective is a plus for the rest of us.

Misty
Things are not always as they appear; it's a matter of perception.

Thank you Misty. :D

My avatar is the cover of the album "Mutter" by Rammstein, I used to listen to them so often when I was younger and so wanted to promote the band I guess.

Hi, Everday

I'm new here, too. Are you still waiting to have posts approved? I think I've posted seven times but only have 4 approvals so far. None of them were off topic or in any other way objectionable as far as I could see so I imagine it takes a while for whoever it is that approves posts to get around to reading them.

How did you come up with the name 'Everday'? Is it because in summer in Scandinavia it never gets dark?

Hi Lagayscienza. I am still going through that rite of passage ordeal. I don't think that I thought of "Everday" due to the Scandinavian summer, which is indeed in someplaces always bright, it is a good guess though. Most likely and direct inspiration that I can think of is that poem "Darkness" by Byron.

Hello Everday. It is not very " relaxed " here in the sense of "superficial" . I guess you would not like it very much if it were. I hope you get to post soon.

Hi, Everday. You have 8 posts up now so your rite of passage is almost finished. I look forward to reading your posts.
