Hi, found Philosophy Forum while surfing the web, I've read many posts in Treads, found it quite interesting, came in to learn and share.

I'm French, I'm retired, have a wonderful wife, had a professional life in a University Setting, have woodlot to care, gardener by hobby, been active in other Discussion Forums, quite impressive and all the people you come to share information with, amazing!

From the limited posts I have read, it will be great to learn some more.

Glad to be here, blessing to all members.

Hey thanks Fooloso4, Yes!, like the warning, but as you are aware, sometimes, we find very interesting things in ''holes in the ground'', may the best be with you!

True. It was a play on words with regard to your namesake’s story of falling into a hole because he was looking up instead of where he was going. Of course he had the last laugh. But then again, that hole was not a rabbit hole. The problem with rabbit holes, as Alice discovered, is that once you fall in you can’t look up. In the rabbit hole there is no up or down. It is all too easy around here to get sucked into a bottomless pit of someone else’s confusion, delusion, and illlogic.

Logic on holiday can be fun, but it is best to just enjoy the ride and not get too wrapped up in trying to bring sense to Hatters and Hares, even if at the moment they may appear to be sane. Alice thinks:
The March Hare will be much the most interesting, and perhaps as this is May it won't be raving mad – at least not so mad as it was in March.
She was wrong. The Cheshire Cat grins. The most philosophical and Socratic of the lot, although Alice does learn a thing or two from her journey.

Thanks Fooloso4, ''play on words'' was my first impression!, rabbit hole, the analogy is ever present, the rabbit will never look backward, first he can't, he must be pursued by a Fox or some other animal, second, he's in survival mode, so he will rush to the end of this protection hole, goes for Hares just the same.
