New Member and Hi!
I'm disabled and live in London, so have time on my hands, i love history and philosophy, and tend to have a different interpretation of some history and beliefs.
Dates interest me, and the reason behind choosing them, an example would be the 2008 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing that started at 8pm 8/8/2008, purely as in Chinese culture, they have thier own numerology and 8 is auspicious for prosperity and confidence! I can accept that, but what do you think of 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month 1918?
I think i will start a thread on this that seems to be full of beliefs as to why the date was chosen!

I'm a new member, and can't leave links yet, however the Ottoman Empire declared fatwa and war on the allies on 11th November 1914.
The First World War ended in two parts, the Armistice and the Treaty of Versailles. The Armistice laying down arms was on time, day, month 1918 mentioned on previous thread section!
Please note my explanation is an hypothesis, metaphysical beliefs invariably involve gods or definition of god, by dogmatic principles, which comes within bounds of discussion on a philosophy forum, although controversial in content.
But to fully understand the First World War, i feel we must go back to the event that triggered it that happened on St. Vitus Day 1914, i'll start on this as this thread section has been accepted by moderator.
