Hi

Please post all introductions in this forum. Tell us how you found the philosophy forums, what interests you about philosophy, and a little about you, such as your age, where you live, what you do for a living, etc.

Hi

Post by AndyC »

Hello,
I'm a newcomer from intpforum and I'm very interested in philosophy. You can look at some of what I've written there although much of it isn't refined.
Most of my ideas come from my own reflections as I strive towards new interpretations and originality and also I am somewhat a layman in studying philosophy.
I'd like to get to know what goes on here at onlinephilosophyclub and meet the various philosophers which roam these threads, so please introduce yourselves and I hope to make your acquaintance.

If you want to find out what people are thinking and talking about, you should surf the various philosophy threads here until you find one you want to which you want to respond. There are several subjects being discussed constantly and the perceptions are as varied as the number of people posting. Personally, I spend a lot more time reading than I do posting because my perceptions are pretty well set. When I do post, I always remember that we are here to carry on civil conversations and not get into labeling or name calling. You will find the people here are intelligent and opinionated, but open to discussion. You can learn a lot.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi, LoneWolf!!

You wished for a self-introduction by others. Here's mine:

I'm the smartest person on these forums. Arguing against me is futile.

I share these sentiments identically with at least half of the other forum users, if not with everyone. (That they, each individually, is the smartest person on the forum.) If you come here thinking you are not the smartest, then there is no dialogue generated.

It is being right about one thing or about an other that validates our existence as persons that makes us into philosophers; we never give up our ideas and ideals. A bit like revolutionaries, missionaries, religious persons, and older academia.

Hi! I just tried to register on INTJforum. I got rejected because it said that my email address has been in use already. So I reset my password, and they said the new password has been sent to my email address, which never came.

I suspect very strongly that your site is set up for physhing and it is a fraudulent site. Others, beware.

To -1-:
You addressed the following to me. I presume you meant to address Andy C. If that is so, maybe you are not the smartest person on the forum.

Since I have nothing to do with the referenced forum, I don't know what you are talking about.

Well, I actually am, but it just gives you an idea of the general maximum attained IQ level.
