Happy to have found a good philosophy forum
I'm Laozytzu. I have a deep interest in nearly every sort of philosophy that borders on the obsessive. I'm about to begin my entrance into the educated world after having spent my post high school traveling and seeing the world, so coming to this forum is my attempt to engage in civil discourse, make friends, and gather knowledge on how to proceed.
I've studied various philosophical works and ideas on my own for nearly 4 years now, as well as many religious texts. I would say my knowledge is still very novice, though, a good deal more than a complete amatuer.
My ideas are often incomplete, or logically inaccurate, but I will try my hardest to remedy that with the help of my peers.
I chose Heraclitus as my avatar because I admire his philosophy a good deal, though I know it is considered to be vague and cryptic. In honor of a new experience every time I come here I leave the following quote.
"No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same man"
