Hello
I am new here, and I sought out this forum to converse with like-minded individuals about my thoughts about the world, society, etc.
I'm an INTP personality type, so naturally I think very deeply about things alot of the time. I am intensely drawn to ideas and the abstract over the concrete.
I think about and develop my own theories with regards to the fields of political philosophy, societal reform, ethics, science, metaphysics and mathematics, linguistics, and history. I am especially drawn to theories regarding the nature of space-time, relativity, whether the world is based on probability or whether it is purely deterministic in nature, how humans naturally learn foreign languages (such as studying the structural roles of vowels and consanants in relation to each other in order to determine how the brain distinguishes native words from foreign words), the role of government with respect to society, and genetic engineering.
Currently, I think quite frequently about two ideas that I've pretty much come up with by myself. The first one is especially my own, which I call "Statistical Aversion," and it basically states that the behavior of all animate/living beings only arises in response to certain oppositional factors which are set against it's very existence, and by identifying the oppositional factors we can then determine the behavior of the system, such as a human society, for instance. This model can then be mathematicized to at least make accurate and precise predictions about the future (such as when political states will fall, etc.)
The other theory I like to ponder over is one concerning space-time and the reconcialiation of probabilism and determinism. I think space can be viewed as consisting of fundamental 'pixel' like units which are called quanta. Quanta are not something I came up with, but for me, they're a useful term. Basically, in my thinking, quanta are fundamental units of probability that arise directly as a function of the local geometric properties of an object. Probabilistic outcomes are essentially the result of something's geometry, to sum it up.
In addition, I also work on various theories in linguistics and have independently developed a language learning method called "contextual learning," where one takes a foreign word and then inserts it into an otherwise native sentence, so the brain therefore learns by context and categorizes the foreign word as just some native word that it has never encountered before.
These are only some of my ideas, but I'm very much a philosopher in nature, and I look forward to conversing with the people on here.
