I'm Anonymous66 and I'm new to the forums. I'm 51 years old and I found the forum by doing a google search for "best philosophy forums online".
I'm involved with 2 philosophy groups in real life. In one of them, we're reading through Plato's dialogues, in the other we're reading Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit.
I've taken some free online philosophy classes (MOOCS) and really enjoyed them, but the college level philosophy class I took was an intro to philosophy class back in 1988. I got really interested in philosophy about 3 years ago.
I've been looking into Gabriel Marcel over the past year.
A friend of mine is a philosophy professor who let me sit in on a couple of his classes, and I've read Plato and Aristotle and Cicero, among others. I've also spent some time reading the ancient Stoics and reading about them.
