Re: Hello from Luxin
Hello philosopher Burning ghost! Et al!
Dr. Jose Rizal
June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Rizal
Certainly! I'll do my best, but I'm no authority on dear Dr. Rizal. I did read a book of his years ago. He was a central character in the uprising you no doubt know of. Dr. Rizal became a target because of the books he wrote, his two most famous novels, Noli Me Tángere, published in Berlin in 1887, and El Filibusterismo, published in Ghent in 1891.
The doctor was called a filibustero (subversive). For details of Dr. Rizal's story, please check the wiki link. I don't care for awful details; it's best not to write or speak of them. As the third monkey says, "Speak no evil". Thoughts of indignation and judgment are dangerous. All evils must be forgiven and no one judged, or there may be a karmic reaction, a bad feeling at least. One should realize that all the great or foolish things people do they are compelled to do; they could not have done otherwise.
Dr. Rizal was a man of the people, and one of the many who have taken a stand against authority throughout history and lost. It's always sad -- I'm teary now thinking of all my dear beings who have not been able to comply with Christ's admonition, "Resist not evil". All were compelled to take a stand, and thus come to the attention of the authorities. Christ was a man of peace; he knew that any kind of opposition, resistance, or speaking/writing against evil only brings awful consequences. (I am not a Christian but I treasure Christ's words of wisdom).
Thank you for the opportunity to write!
Yours, Luxin

Re: Hello from Luxin
Sure, I'll enquire in a local bookstore called Fully Booked if they have books covering the fables, myths or fairy tales subjects. As far as you contacting them to order goes, I'd only be able to give you their address and phone number if you like, but I can't recommend long distance calls to here. It's doubtful they have internet ordering, but I'll check on that. I'm not a filipino native, so I'm no authority on things here. I've lived here with my wife for ten years now, and I'm originally from Canada, and a caucasian. (Means I'm a kind of asian I guess! Hehe).

Hello again philosophers Burning ghost and associates!
I said that, but it occurred to me afterward that I may be wrong.
I cannot say things that later I'm not sure of without stating a correction, so a "virtual deletion" of the above quote can be done mentally by all you dear philosophers please.
If anyone has to know why I'm "deleting" the quote, you and I will have to "talk" privately by whatever means may be possible (I haven't checked yet). You'd have to let me know you're interested, privately if you can but publicly is OK. I'm reluctant to talk publicly because I do not want to say anything that anyone might be uncomfortable with.
Thank you!

The Philippines is Catholic. If you want to know about their mythology look to the Vatican.

Dear philosophers,
I have changed my mind; I can't talk publicly or privately in a message or email about that "virtually deleted" assertion.
I could only talk about it with someone face to face in person after years of knowing them.
