The research field of philosophy of mind
I was wondering if there are specific ad interesting researches in the field of philosphy of mind about deontic or normative mental states. As we can distinguish descriptive and deontic propositions by many ways. I think it is surely possibile to identify "normative mental states" among the different types of mental states. There is a significative difference if, in this moment, my mind observes the world, and if, in another moment, my mind has a normative attitude towards the world, e.g. if I have the feeling that I ought to do something. The "direction of fit" is different in the two cases. In other words, I'm looking for specific work about the "is/ought dichotomy" in the research field of philosophy of mind.
