The March 2023 Philosophy Book of the Month is Rediscovering the Wisdom of Human Nature: How Civilization Destroys Happiness by Chet Shupe.

Neither time, time-ness, unconscious here-ness, unconscious now-ness, nor any unconscious presence exist.

Use this philosophy forum to discuss and debate general philosophy topics that don't fit into one of the other categories.

This forum is NOT for factual, informational or scientific questions about philosophy (e.g. "What year was Socrates born?"). Those kind of questions can be asked in the off-topic section.

Can I suggest that you don't understand how nature balances opposites.

Nature balances a + and - with a + and -

Now I know that you will probably say that you haven't a clue what I am talking about but can I suggest that nature is far more wiser than you or me.

Its a big mistake to think that we are more clever than it.

Can I suggest the way that nature provides a compromise is a follows:

It balances a + and - with a + and - .This means that you and I can sit on the fence or to the right or to the left. It doesn't matter where we sit.

Both sides of the debate can be separated and have their separate opinions because a + completely overlays a - to the right and left and a - completely overlays a + to the right and the left.

Everyone can therefore HOPE for separate things in PERFECT symmetrical BALANCE.

Note: a + and - represent equal but opposite opinions.

Why do I suggest this.

Well because if you take two magnets in nature and try to obtain a balanced compromise with the 4 off possible interactions NN;NS;SN;SS and seriously consider all interaction possibilities (or opinions), so to speak.

The only way to provide a balanced compromise is if you balance an NS with and an NS to obtain a vibratory balance.

I would suggest that all sciences are interconnected and this sets a precedent across all scientific disciplines.

So I would suggest that philosophically,it is possible to obtain a balance with opposite opinions in nature.
