Yes, this is the problem for the young ones that results in metaphysical repression. I know because I was one who felt the common sense of metaphysics due to heredity. I'm not a visual artist but one of my ancestors had few peers in the ability to depict awe and the interactions of elemental forces. I must have inherited some of what he understood. I know what these kids are going through even though my influences allow me to see through it.Pattern-chaser wrote: ↑May 14th, 2021, 12:41 pmI don't feel I can respond to such vague mysticism. Sorry.
Jacob Needleman advised:
The first thing to realize is that the world resides in the darkness of Plato's cave. If you feel there is intelligence greater than Man you are quite right so there is no need to repress what you have sensed. Allow your mind to open. But the problem is finding others who have felt the same. They also hide. If some do exist in education or within secular religion you will have to sense them and they will sense you.As to how I would guide someone who is confused about the idea of God, I would suggest that he or she begins identifying what one might called "philosophical friends," - people with whom one could seriously examine our thought about God through listening to each other, reading important and useful books together and trying to think for oneself while familiarizing oneself with the ideas of some of the world's great thinkers. Cultivate openness without gullibility and skepticism without cynicism.
But beware of the charlatans who take advantage of those in need. They are spiritual con artists so don't trust. Instead verify. What you have sensed is not a weakness but actually a strength and the world may need your awakening influence in the future for Man's quest to feel objective human meaning and purpose.
