Interesting. I never knew Batman had said that. Could there be a socialist interpretation of Batman, do you think?WanderingGaze22 wrote:Yet he himself has stated that he can be wrong and without outside factors as well has help, he would fail miserably.

Before, he was a lone wolf but over time, he built a network of allies whom he does respect. Of course his mistrust has caused him to stand alone in his decisions but ultimately, he does value teamwork to a high degree. Batman is self-financed through his alter-ego's company, but he is partially a socialist. I believe the current version has him bordering being self-sufficient.Steve3007 wrote: ↑September 29th, 2021, 4:31 am Single amongst many. Most problems I face in my life aren't solved as a result of any formal education. (I assume you're talking about formal education and not including the education which we all get from the experience of being alive.)

I agree. Most personal problems aren't going to be solved successfully from the product of the primary or secondary education system (though higher learning systems do devote study to personal problem solving, specifically). So the number of folks who have access to the information contained within these specialties is quite small.

Re: The Limits of Education's Capabilities
Naturally less critical thinking takes place in primary education than in higher education, due to the maturing process of the brain.
Problem solving is a skill. To become maximally successful at utilizing a skill takes a heavy portion of guided practice.
But education is not the only factor leading to successful problem solving. Life experience, especially under the care of a mentor, facilitates problem solving as well.
