I've really only quoted this text so that the interesting idea it contains is not lost or overlooked. My off-the-cuff answer to the question is "yes", but ... there's always a but. Food for thought, which is always nice.
Do alien civilizations use the same mathematics idea as humans do?

We don't know yet if there is another civilization like a human on another planet, but with a fact that this universe has billions of galaxy, each galaxy has billions of stars, some physicists believe there are many planets like earth out there.

Do you have a perspective on it yourself?

I have no doubt that other outer space humanoids have developed the same cultures and sciences as we have. It just depends on where they are at in terms of their development. This notion is often portrayed in the various showings of Star Trek on TV and in the movies.dipta wrote: ↑February 3rd, 2020, 5:45 amThe concept of limit, derivation, integration, matrix, complex number, etc. will work with every number system.h_k_s wrote: ↑January 30th, 2020, 5:31 pm
It is more likely than not if not totally certain that there are other "alien" species "out there" in the Universe with its 200 billion galaxies which we can now see with Hubble.
Depending on their evolution and the number of digits on their hands, they will have evolved mathematics similar to us except that since we have 10 fingers and 10 toes we have evolved a base-10 system with Sanskrit/Arabic numerals and the concept and number of a repeating zero.
So they might be base 2, or base 4, or base 3, or base 6, or base 12, or base 7, or base 14, etc.
Maybe they develop different number systems, but do they also develop calculus, matrix, complex number, etc. like humans?
