What is art....
If so would not philosophy be an art?
Or is art simply the act of trying to get some ones attention?
If so a blowing a blow horn would be considered art.
No it has to be something more. Art may not just be about presenting a new idea or getting peoples attention. But about feelings. Something we look with are eyes or hear with are ears that gives us a feeling/emotion. A pleasant feeling or maybe the feeling of fear?
If so then we must ask our selves what exactly are feelings/emotions, and do they really exist?

What is art?
Art is very closely tied to philosophy, as it springs from the very same trunk of absolute roots: Why are we here? Do I have a unique purpose? Is there overall reason?, etc...
The purpose of the artist, historically, culturally, is their ability to assimilate the real with a heavy dose of the imaginative. Basically, to 'think outside the box'. Artists do this reflexively, naturally, but, obviously, in society, artists do need to support themselves, so there comes the inner negotiations of 'personal vision' vs. 'public consumption'.
If I were to propose a forum, I would ask who are we more in debt to as a generation... the artist or the logician?
