When we say this intelligent person, we assume that he was able to control the way his brain analyzes the facts. Intelligence is a characteristic that is intended to compliment a person. If that's not true, does that mean the word "intelligent" is meaningless? Can we use the word "capabilities" instead

I'm not sure "capabilities" is the best word to use as it covers a very broad spectrum. Intelligence has multiple facets, each uniquely relevant to their own specific application.
Intelligence can be seen as the ability to solve rudimentary problems and equations, learn and retain knowledge and complex information. until any word can be clearly defined it is somewhat meaningless.

Intelligence is based upon the ability to know, to understand that there is a difference between an Illusion of, and a reflection of, Reality.

The problem being, that in order for an Illusion to exist it must be mistaken to be a Reality, the truth.

We can use capabilities instead and it does not change the meaning of intelligent or intelligence here.

Capable and intelligent are not interchangeable. Someone displaying physical capabilities does not necessarily exhibit intelligence (imagine someone stepping on their own neck). Think of intelligence as applied knowledge. You have to know things which would make you knowledgeable but intelligence is distinguished from knowledgeable in the application of the knowledge.

Intelligence has not to do with physical; capabilities, it has to do with mental capabilities, with One's level
Consciousness.

Man not being born conscious is not Intelligent.

Personally I draw a large distinction between accumulating lots of facts/understanding on one hand and the ability to manipulate facts to come up with answers on the other.

Human intelligence is the combination of experience, consciousness, linguistic abilities, knowledge, etc.

Its hard to measure without imposing cultural bias.
A lump of wood, a chisel, a saw, and a screwdriver.

Which is the odd one out?

A 'civilised' person would chose lump of wood since it is not in the category "tool".

A person who is not literate might choose screwdriver since you chisel saw and wood can be used together.

Yet literacy is not intelligence.
