Question 10 ~ To Whom Do You Relate?
This is a discussion question for the June 2016 Book of the Month, Justice by Scott Hughes.
Question 10 ~ To Whom Do You Relate?
Brynn seems to blame her misery on Marcus emotionally abusing her. Marcus plainly describes being cheated on as hurting him more than she could ever hurt. Even before finding out about the cheating, Marcus seems to blame Brynn for his misery. Prosecutor Joseph Bronson seems to feel betrayed by his job and presumably blames his misery on that. Can you relate to any or all of these characters? Have you ever been emotionally abused? Have you ever been cheated on? Have you ever had a job you hate? Which do you think is worse? If you were in any of these situations before, how bad was it?
