The 3% rule

Have you heard of the theory that if 3% of humanity can agree on a certain principle, or idea, the rest of humanity will follow. Kind of like the monkey affect. I don't wish to debate if it exists or not, but instead ask, if it were true, hypothetically, what would your idea be? What would your imperatives consist of? Something that is an improvement on what we have at the moment. What would be an evolutionary leap forward for humanity that can seriously be considered a type higher civilisation?

The post-war state of mind that began to reject Nationalism and instead embraced Socialist optimism and spurred on the birth of the NHS and Welfare State in the UK.

If they could do that again, but more evolved after past experience and able to withstand Conservative objection (and avoid getting another Thatcher or Reagan to screw it all up) that would be great.

Great and interesting question.

Really hard to put something in to words that doesn’t sound trite.

I would have to go with a revolution in how we think about education and pedagogy in general. That is to, somehow, always keep alive our innate curiousity for the world/self/community and to value all fields of interest with equal respect.

From there (because I have faith in the human race) I believe all other problems would be dealt with in the best manner possible.
