We are from Society or Society is from us?
Who is this society? Is it not us only living in it. Why can't we do something to change the society view and accept thing which has been sacrificed by so many people.
What do you all think, We are from society or this society is from us only?

Only when a fish is out of water can you say that the fish is "from" the sea.
At what point are you not in society?

When a group of individuals live in a place, they form a society. As every society have its ethics or moral that they all follow. As we grew in our society, changes occur in every individual.Pattern-chaser wrote: ↑May 24th, 2023, 7:12 am You've placed this topic in "Ethics and Morality", so I presume you wish to discuss "society" in that context. But what is "society", in this moral context, I wonder?
Do these changes in an individual make a change in the whole society? Because we're the society as a whole.
So, in my opinion, the changes in individual brings a change in society as a whole too.

OK, I see no obvious reason to argue or disagree with any of that ... but what is the ethical and moral dimension?Anil G wrote: ↑May 24th, 2023, 10:40 am When a group of individuals live in a place, they form a society. Or have I misunderstood your intent here, in this topic?

Society is a biological extension of humanity, established for mutual survival and well-being, it is an expression of humanity itself. All human creations are biological extensions. That which humanity has established in the structure of society, laws, morality, behavioral norms, and superstitions, simply reflect back to us the condition of our own psyches. In mythology this is where the hero's journey begins, for in order to change the reflection of society one must go on a metaphoric journey and bring back the wisdom, often represented as the bounty. The hero is not always accepted and often destroyed in the process. So, society is of us, made manifest in the outer world out of our subjective consciousness.Anil G wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2023, 3:19 pm Growing up in the world where society is important more than our own individual happiness to do something. I had seen people sacrificing things like love, passion, and relation in the fear of unacceptance by the society.
