The Philosophy Forums at OnlinePhilosophyClub.com aim to be an oasis of intelligent in-depth civil debate and discussion. Topics discussed extend far beyond philosophy and philosophers. What makes us a philosophy forum is more about our approach to the discussions than what subject is being debated. Common topics include but are absolutely not limited to neuroscience, psychology, sociology, cosmology, religion, political theory, ethics, and so much more.
This is a humans-only philosophy club. We strictly prohibit bots and AIs from joining.
Discuss philosophical questions regarding theism (and atheism), and discuss religion as it relates to philosophy. This includes any philosophical discussions that happen to be about god, gods, or a 'higher power' or the belief of them. This also generally includes philosophical topics about organized or ritualistic mysticism or about organized, common or ritualistic beliefs in the existence of supernatural phenomenon.

People who believe that there is a God have something in mind that they are referring to in that belief. You can simply use what they're referring to in order to determine whether you believe there is such a thing or not.
A ‘Mind’ as the The Existence is dubious
??? I know you didn't just read what I wrote as saying anything like that.

Wait--when you talk about "God," you are referring to (your?) mind?
No, "'Mind'" is 'God'. Just showing arguments agains there being a 'God'.
God seems to be want any theist wants it to be.
It's not much of a logical basis, and the thread title and everything in it is basically a non starter.

'God' believers can't move forward,
So what's left to is push backward.

They seem to thrash out in all directions as if they know in their hearts that they are desperately on shaky ground; hence the absurd thread heading.

...all but the most rigid and limited philosophers can address most topics, at most levels of abstraction, logic, generality, precision, evidence, and so on. It's a shame you clearly won't be joining us in our explorations, but no-one would wish to force you.

There is nothing here to explore except the purile imaginings of people scared of the future.
If you have any "evidence" then please offer it.
There is precious little logic since the premise lacks the evidence you are pretending exists. Logic is meaningless with poor premises. Even you should know that.

If on your view, mind is god, then how would you not be referring to mind when you talk about god?
The uppercase 'Mind' refers to 'God' having a 'Mind'. My mind is just 'mind'.

So it was a matter of me not capitalizing the word, because capitalization denotes a different sort of ontological thing on your view?
