The exceptionally odd case of Jim and Jessica
There once was a man and woman, who loved each other very much. Their love was as deep as that of Romeo and Juliet, but only more tragic and sad. They were young lovers and were very happy, but Jim died and left Jessica severely depressed. She finally died herself. Let us say, “as karma would have it,” only after her death Jim reincarnated, but as a maggot, obliviously partaking in devouring his own beloved.
Such grim scenarios makes one ask if we really want to partake or stand for reincarnation. What is the theodicy in odd “next lives?”
