Are you a God in waiting, or have you stepped up to your destiny?

Discuss philosophical questions regarding theism (and atheism), and discuss religion as it relates to philosophy. This includes any philosophical discussions that happen to be about god, gods, or a 'higher power' or the belief of them. This also generally includes philosophical topics about organized or ritualistic mysticism or about organized, common or ritualistic beliefs in the existence of supernatural phenomenon.

It is not a matter of believing scriptures.

It is about your mind set, and if you are just following instructions from others, or really making intelligent moral choices on your own.

Believe your own nature, if you know it.

You were born with your DNA telling you you were the fittest in your line. The ideal.

If you think in a body soul or material dualism way, your other spiritual self would also see itself as the fittest spirit, and that is how God is described.

It planned for your best end, and your best end is mental independence and freedom.

God answers to no one but himself, and we should all follow that example.

My God is named I am, and I do mean me.

Who is the ideal you follow if not yourself?

"Did you think that you could say that we are in each other’s image and just get away with it?"

We share the same type of DNA to a huge extent.

Where do you see us differ in any serious way in either our physical or mental image?

Neither you nor I can know that either of us has been created in God’s image, if there is a God.8

We, like God, create our reality, confirming again that we are all Gods.

The Bible agrees.

Well, I, for one, disagree.

When you wrote “like GOD” you might as well have said to me “ “. Therefore, “confirming again that we are all Gods” says as much as “. “.

Not believing the Bible makes it easier not to believe that there is a God or that we all are Gods or even Gods in waiting.

You have said much but not convinced me of anything. Tell me now what happens to people like me who are agnostic.

Perfect.

You should think your ideology as the best of the best then.

Have you stepped up to deciding for others?

Think of it as turning in your Jesus consciousness into a Christ consciousness, and pushing your views forcefully.

The Bible is the only one of the many messengers.

Readers just need to reed it it naturally and not un-naturally.

I don’t believe my thinking is the best of the best. No one should.

Telling others what their decision should be is hardly a step up. Such behavior is at odds with living the good life.

I have no awareness of any consciousness other than my own.

Your assessments are way off the mark.

I don’t believe my thinking is the best of the best. No one should.
Who told you it was not the best, and did they show you why?

Why did you believe them?

If you have chosen the best rules and laws to live by, you should not think it is not the best without proof.
Telling others what their decision should be is hardly a step up. Such behavior is at odds with living the good life.
Seriously????

Telling people their thinking is not quite right, let's say for homophobes and the misogynous, is a good deed, is it not?

What of the adage, --- for evil to grow, all good people need do is not nothing, --- like not pointing out poor behaviour.
I have no awareness of any consciousness other than my own.
Perhaps not directly, but you know that you are in the image of God, as we all are.
Your assessments are way off the mark.
An opinion is not an argument.

Your suggestion does not fit loving scriptures, and that is partly why I give it a fail.

Proverbs 3:12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Doing unto others demands we correct each other.
