The Philosophy Forums at OnlinePhilosophyClub.com aim to be an oasis of intelligent in-depth civil debate and discussion. Topics discussed extend far beyond philosophy and philosophers. What makes us a philosophy forum is more about our approach to the discussions than what subject is being debated. Common topics include but are absolutely not limited to neuroscience, psychology, sociology, cosmology, religion, political theory, ethics, and so much more.
This is a humans-only philosophy club. We strictly prohibit bots and AIs from joining.
Discuss philosophical questions regarding theism (and atheism), and discuss religion as it relates to philosophy. This includes any philosophical discussions that happen to be about god, gods, or a 'higher power' or the belief of them. This also generally includes philosophical topics about organized or ritualistic mysticism or about organized, common or ritualistic beliefs in the existence of supernatural phenomenon.
Can Jacob fall from grace and end up Ruben, if so how? How does Ruben defile his couch is this merely Judah sexual in manner, if so why is it not Naphtali or Jacob who is Isreal? What exactly is Ruben? How does he differ from asher?
I assume this question refers to Christian doctrine, and maybe to scriptural literalism too? Are you hoping for answers within this context, or are you open to contributions from those who do not share your (?) religious beliefs?
Nice to see you here, by the way. Welcome to our dance!

Christian or Jewish any answer is worthy as long as it aligns with a belief with theological consideration or naturalism Hellenistic.

What I see in your OP is a detailed examination of a very prescribed context that makes no sense except inside a detailed, and very specific, Christian existence. Most people do not have or want access to such a fundamentally Christian context. I wonder if your questions would be better presented to a gathering of fundamentalist Christians, and not a philosophy forum?
It is a rumor that Herod was a Nabatean familiar with the Neoplatonic thesis. Triumphant Jesus crossed the Jordan from the land of Perea where he had many followers. It is a geographic reality. There is a historical connection between the Semitic Phoenician and the Semitic Jews. As such there are similarities with the Tree of Life and the Phoenician Asher or Ba’al and the Kabbalah Ein Sof. (to point out Ruben from Asher). Not sure if you meant ancient slaves as a metaphorical defile.

Much of the Bible is causality or compatibilism written poetically although such topics such as the day of the Lord is eschatology. Although most fundamentalist Christians would seem Hellenistic.
There could be a denial about the Syrian Hellenistic jews having the Shulchan Aruch. It is all because of the alliance with Herod in the civil war. Poetry? It was the Basileus after it removed the Greek Gods from the Temple. I think he felt that way.

Well some of it is historical. I think most of it is metaphorically poetic.
Presently, some communities claim they are descendants of Jacob. Perhaps, this supported your claim of a division among one and the others. As such, I could use an opinion as to the people of Afar. Are Ethiopian jews also considered people of Afar. What significance do you give to this? Is this also a metaphor?
