Um, the content of my question is my question. You are not making sense.
The questions that you ask ,and indeed everything that you do, say, write, and think, and ever will do, say, say, write, and think, is what you are Grunth. This particular question that you asked has a tremendously large context all about who you are , your whole life and unique personal situation , your situation in your life which includes your purpose in asking the question.

It's your purpose and your tone in asking the question which interests me more than the content of the question. Your question is uniquely yours. Nobody else will ever ask the same question in the same circumstances ever again.
I'm interested in how such questions are answered. I'm not finding anything interesting about your abstractions of the matter. You will have to entertain yourself with those.

So what are your thoughts on the black man president?

That is a shame Grunth however someone else will read my thoughts and perhaps find them interesting.

This is what you do here. It is quite childish. You name call and you do character assessment, rather than discuss which are what questions are designed for.

I think you know what my point was and that you are merely avoiding the point. Calling someones racist without providing evidence is inviting questions. I am merely taking up the invitation to question the validity of such statements, which I think is fair.

Apart from what is probably its illegality your response is ad hominem which is an ineffectual response.

It's probably, and with good reason, against the rules of these forums to denigrate someone else's general character as a participant in the forums.
Then I think you should follow your own advice.

So how about my questions then?

What are your thoughts on the old woman going for president and the black man president?

Grunth you need a direct quotation from my posts if your intention is to counter-accuse me.

Is there anything useful that you can gain from denigrating my general online character?

I thought you were talking about yourself. I have not denigrated your general character by calling an action childish. Are you saying your entire character is one comment you made?

You are being quite boorish here. I'm doing the topic.

The topic is Trump. Someone has said he is racist......and an old white man, as if this is somehow relevant to Trump attempting to be President. I am questioning suggested relevancy and questioning this assessment of Trump.

Belinda wants to make it about me. I'm not interested.

Grunth , this is your ad hominem:

Your accusation does matter because it shouldn't be permitted .

"This is what you do here"

"Here", meaning your engagement with me, here, in this topic....right here. The name-calling, "troll", and your pseudo psychoanalysis statement (over two posts). Completely off topic but more importantly off topic in the direction off some assessment of me as a person. I'm not interested. I posted on topic questions to you when you suggested 'anyone' can not see a racist implication in another's post.

In those two posts you were being childish, and you are carrying on in a boorish manner. "Boorish": an assessed action, not an assessment of you as a person (although this is still possible. Let's see).

I am standing by my comment that making "old white man" a relevancy, with regard to one's qualification for the job as President, is bigoted.

Belinda doesn't agree, but not only does she not agree she suggests that no one else will agree either. This is delusional (to think one knows what anyone else must think without even talking to anyone else).

So...if it is not bigoted and racist then is "the old white woman, Hillary" not racist or bigoted, and is "her black boss" not bigoted or racist?

You tell me.

The finger pointing moral superiority political correctness war emerging here helps explain the Trump phenomena. Vast swaths of the population are sick of political correctness, and thus find Trump's loud unfiltered mouth appealing.

Oh gosh, now I feel so guilty. Was it wrong to say "finger pointing"? Was it bigoted against religion to say "moral superiority"? Have I shown disrespect for the millions of innocent victims of war by comparing this thread to a real war? Is it too personal and even racey for me to mention Trump's body parts, like his mouth? I hang my head in well deserved shame. I roll on the ground weeping, drenched in guilty tears just thinking that I may have offended someone somewhere about something!! OMG, what have I done, please forgive me!!!

But...Trump as the answer? He is a pseudo-outsider. He is a rich, connected, racist, old white man. I would have thought that Rubio would have been their choice. But...I'm a Canadian and don't understand American political choices. But, wow, the entertainment value! With 100 more days...and maybe 300 more Donald Tweets...who knows what will happen?
Evidence of your racism, and ageism, are obvious. But what is your evidence of Trump's racism exactly?
Well, let's start with him saying an American judge with a Mexican heritage can not do his job without bias. Or...his vague repudiation of the KKK and Duke only after being hounded to do so...and then not really repudiating him but rather just making a gesture. Or his continued attacks of Obama's birthright even after proof was presented. Or...his mocking a Gold Star muslim mother? oops...sorry...that is religious and racist bias. Trump is racist in the same way that George Wallace was racist. In the same way that Hitler was racist against the Jews. Placing blame and then using insinuation and innuendo. He refuses to repudiate racists in his own party...but rather includes them in his bigoted tent. But don't read this...just look at who attends a Trump rally and let the pictures speak for themselves.

I am an old Caucasian male but I am very disappointed with the older male members of my race. Old white men supporting Trump is beyond my understanding. Supporting change...sure....supporting a man like Trump...why? If I were a Republican I would vote for the Libertarians...Johnson and Weld....at least they seem calm and sane.

Rainman -

Several posts back you refered to the Philippines. You said you didn't understand why people in the Philippines voted for that idiot. I guess you Duterte?

If people are comparing Duterte to Trump there are very few similarities. I am not at all surprised that people in the Philippines voted for Duterte.

Hahaha, so funny. But seriously... back in the late 80s, through the mid 90s "politically correct" actually meant something. Nowadays PC or political correctness is just fake cover that folks outside the mainstream (racists, homophobes, xenophobes, animal rights folks etc...) of either political wing hide behind to deflect criticism. It is just another tool of the Victim Mentality. You know, the War against Christmas etc.

The thinking goes: I can attack someone with impunity because if I am attacked in retaliation, I too am therefore a "victim" and if I play the "PC" card I can get empathetic folks to feel sorry for me, or at least to tone down their criticism of me.

Bottom line, at this point there are many more folks protesting political correctness than using it.
"As usual... it depends."
